Leví Marrero

With the publication of “Roots of the Cuban Miracle”, written by the late Professor Levi Marrero, Cuban Cultural Heritage seeks to accomplish two basic objectives at this critical moment in Cuban history.
First, To honor Professor Marrero with the title of “First Emeritus Member” of Cuban Cultural Heritage. Levi Marrero is still a symbol of the cultural and historical values of the Cuban Nation, values for which our organization struggles to protect and preserve.
Second, to show to the younger generations of Cubans, worldwide, Levi Marrero's optimistic message, based on his knowledge of our history through the centuries during which Cubans have learned to overcome major trials and difficulties, Thematic that he masterfully describes as “The Three Miracles of the Cuban Nation”, transmitting to us his optimism for "The Fourth Cuban Miracle" once, in the near future, all Cubans united within a free Cuba, take part in the approaching process of national reconstruction, and the Cuban nation overcomes the greatest catastrophe in history: the last 36 years. Professor Levi Marrero died on March 9, 1995, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In his final correspondence on March 4, he encouraged us in our struggle to salvage our cultural patrimony. He expressed appreciation for our effort to fight "tooth and nail" when necessary in order to rescue what is left of the Cuban heritage, so unforgivably plundered by the tyranny of the Castro regime. Professor Marrero dedicated his life to future generations of Cubans. To them he leaves his masterwork, Cuba: Economy and Society. To them we dedicate this work, with our unrelenting effort to salvage what remains of the Cuban Cultural Heritage.

Cuban Cultural Heritage.

Con la publicación de esta nueve edición de Raíces del milagro Cubano, escrito por el Profesor Levi Marrero, Herencia Cultural Cubana pretende lograr dos objetivos básicos en este momento critico del proceso histórico cubano. Primero, rendir homenaje al Profesor Leví Marrero, que por representar los valores culturares e histórico de la nación Cubana que nuestra organización lucha por preservar y rescatar, ha sido nombrado nuestro primero Miembro Emerito. Segundo, hacer llegar a la juventud Cubana, dentro y fuera de Cuba, ese mensaje optimista de Leví Marrero, basado en su conocimiento profundo de nuestra historia a través de los siglos, en que los Cubanos han sabido sobreponer las mayores pruebas y dificultades en lo que el describe magistralmente como Los tres milagros del pueblo Cubano, transmitiéndonos ese optimismo sobre el Cuarto milagro cubano, cuando en una Cuba libre, todos unidos, participemos en el proceso de reconstrucción nacional que se aproxima, y la nación Cubana sobrepase la hecatombe mas terrible de su historia, estos treinta y seis años. El profesor Leví Marrero falleció el 9 de Marzo de este año 1995 en San Juan, Puerto Rico. En su ultima carta, escrita el cuatro de Marzo, nos alienta en la lucha por salvar nuestro Patrimonio Cultural y nos agradece el que luchemos con uñas y dientes si fuera necesario para salvar lo que queda de esa herencia Cubana devorada por el régimen infernal de Fidel Castro. El profesor Leví Marrero dedico su vida a las generaciones futuras de cubanos. A ellos le deja su obra monumental, Cuba: economía y sociedad. A ellos, dedicamos este trabajo y nuestro esfuerzo por salvar la herencia Cubana.
