The Institute for Cuban and
Cuban-American Studies Casa Bacardi, The Lowe Art Museum, Department of Art
and Art History's C.A.S. Gallery, and the MAC– Miami Art Central have teamed
up to offer a night of art and fun for the Miami community with the creation
of Gallery Night. Held on the 1st Thursday
of the Month from
7
to
9
pm
, UM Gallery Night will
provide an exciting evening of art, lecture, music and fun for all to enjoy.
Shuttle service will route patrons to each of the galleries.
UM Gallery
Night is FREE and open to the public.

GALLERY INFORMATION:
Casa Bacardi – “Contemporary Cuban Artists”

This presentation of multiple artists offers the rare occasion to see
many different features of Cuban art in one exhibition. The evening
will highlight the works of seven painters and one sculptor, all of
Cuban
origin.
Diego Torres Rodriguez, Jorge Ballart Herrera, Juan Miguel Suarez, Juan Suarez Blanco,
Mario Garcia Portela, Reynold Campbell, Silvio Martinez,Yampier Sardinas and others share a common homeland, while their
art reflects several unique angles in design, style, color and theme.
The artists reveal their country and their hearts through colorful
landscapes of Cuba, modern sculptures, authentic still-lifes and portraits of the
Cuban
community.
Casa Bacardi is located at the Institute for
Cuban and Cuban-American Studies, University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus,
